Created by Chris Brancato and Paul Eckstein, and starring and executive produced by Oscar® winner Forest Whitaker, Godfather Of Harlem is inspired by the story of infamous crime boss Bumpy Johnson (Whitaker), who in the early 1960s returned from eleven years in prison to find the neighborhood he once ruled in shambles. With the streets controlled by the Italian mob, Bumpy must take on the Genovese crime family to regain control. During the brutal battle, he forms an alliance with radical preacher Malcolm X – catching Malcolm’s political rise in the crosshairs of social upheaval and a mob war that threatens to tear the city apart. Godfather Of Harlem is a collision of the criminal underworld and the civil rights movement during one of the most tumultuous times in American history.

在国外，莫名想看国产剧，看到福里斯特·惠特克,理查德·达历山德罗,克雷格·迪弗朗西亚,小伊万德·杜克,阿瑟·J·纳斯加勒拉,迈克尔·雷蒙德-詹姆斯,CJ Williams,Jason Alan Carvell,Joe Gulla,Josué Charles,Joshua Perez这个阵容本来还是有点小期待。结果，哎...很是失望，奇奇怪怪尴尴尬尬，剧情也一言难尽...虽然现在都在拍主旋律都在拍正剧，但也不能这种充数，演员和剧本还是硬功夫。什么时候我们也能拍出那种能够真正吸引人的剧呢？
题材大胆、现实立意深刻，抓住社会痛点，剧本扎实。美国在影视创方面的确很厉害，希望国产剧多来点这种影视剧，强烈安利大家这部《哈林教父第三季》。
《哈林教父第三季》可太精彩了。前部分就爆了，好爽。节奏很好，有反转感，不错。期待导演乔·施佩尔后续给力点，多拍点这种片子。
乔·施佩尔拍的的《哈林教父第三季》，从剧情风格到配色配音我本人并不太喜欢，但不得不说，会抄也是一种本事，《哈林教父第三季》至少比某些天马行空胡乱自创影楼装服饰满天飞的剧要好的多。
《哈林教父第三季》的演员表演都很自然，剧情和人物也比较合理，没有太多的刻板印象，特别是在人物塑造上非常好，尤其是演员福里斯特·惠特克,理查德·达历山德罗,克雷格·迪弗朗西亚,小伊万德·杜克,阿瑟·J·纳斯加勒拉,迈克尔·雷蒙德-詹姆斯,CJ Williams,Jason Alan Carvell,Joe Gulla,Josué Charles,Joshua Perez饰演的人物特别到位。
